Justin Lin has announced that he will be making another sequel to the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. It was uncertain whether another instalment would be made but Lin confirmed it saying "After this big weekend, we're going forward. It's pretty much 100%. It's going to happen" when he spoke to USA Today.
The big weekend he was talking about was the fact that on the opening weekend for ‘Fast Five’ they managed to rake in a staggering $86.2million. Add to that the $81million it made across the other markets and it was a very big weekend indeed.
He went on to say “At five, we're just hitting our stride. We're growing. People want to continue this journey." Lin is also in the running to make the reboot of the Terminator film which will once again star Arnold Schwarzenegger.
