24 actor Kiefer Sutherland has revealed how he expects 24 the movie to be a direct continuation from the hit television series, picking up six months from the last season finale of the Fox series. Kiefer also admitted that he was hoping for 24 the movie to begin shooting at the end of April or early May at the latest and is thoroughly excited about the script for the film.
Sutherland explained, "The status on the movie is that, hopefully, we will be shooting the end of April, beginning of May. The script that we've got right now... I'm very, very excited about." He added, “The actor added: "I see it as... relatively a direct continuation. It's within six months from the end of the last episode. We'll see where it goes from there."
It has previously been rumoured that a number of past cast members will be returning for 24 the movie but Kiefer Sutherland refused to be drawn on the subject. He stated, "I can't say that." With filming expected to get under way in the Spring of this year, it could be possible that we have a 24 the movie released sometime in 2013.
