Star Magazine is reporting that Johnny Depp has been getting a slew of injuries, especially to do with his back, while filming Disney’s big budget tentpole ‘The Lone Ranger’, co-starring Social Network’s Armie Hammer.

Star’s source tells the magazine, “While it's been hard to accept that he can't perform such demanding feats anymore, Johnny is seeing it. He threw out his back twice while shooting the movie and then had to push through, getting massages in between takes."
The source adds that in addition to the back problems, Depp is suffering from insomnia, saying, "Johnny is also struggling with sleep problems so the crew has had to adjust to the face that he can't shoot all night. He needs at least six hours of shut eye. This movie has really kicked his butt. He's so happy it's wrapping up and has joked that his body wouldn't be able to take another month of it."
Depp just recently split from long time partner Vanessa Paradis, who he has two children with. In addition to the Lone Ranger, there have been rumors abounding that Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fifth installment of the famous Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, although there is no concrete confirmation from either the studio or the producers.
