50 Cent created a public relations nightmare situation that some fans and entertainment observers looked at as having potential career 'derailment' impact it was so serious and crazy. The successful rapper/actor went on his social media Instagram page and made some very unflattering comments about the relationships an ex-girlfriend, "Tatted Up Holly" supposedly had with other men to dismiss the rumours that she was his girlfriend (BET - January 30).
However, it seems like the rapper underestimated the fight and resolve in his ex-girlfriend as she responded by accusing him of 'physical' domestic abuse on her Instagram and then posted screen shots of text conversations she had with the rapper in which he seemed to be begging her to remain silent about the times he allegedly hit her.
The "Power" television series producer in response to the situation went back onto his social media Instagram page and issued a public apology to her after he reportedly saw that she started receiving personal attacks on her social media Instagram page.
After he issued the public apology both he and his ex-girlfriend removed the slanderous images and the apology from their Instagram pages.
Unfortunately for 50 Cent this may not be the end of the public relations crisis for him. The actor's television series "Power" as well as his movies "Spy" and "Southpaw" are scheduled for release in 2015 and with the Ray Rice domestic abuse issue still front and center in the minds of many entertainment fans and observers there is a reportedly a 'real concern' about whether these domestic abuse allegations could result in him beinn removed from these projects.
He has a public relations nightmare on his hands because of his harsh social media attack on his ex-girlfriend "Tatted Up Holly" through social media and in the process has become a teaching tool for many Hollywood agents and their clients about the dangers of the Instagram forum and in particular the danger of posting statements without considering the consequences.
50 Cent is back in the media spotlight as a potential winner of the unofficial awards for most controversial comments and the fastest 'backpedaling' moment for the month of January 2015.
