It has been reported that rapper A$AP Rocky is facing assault charges, after he allegedly slapped a female fan at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia. The Harlem born rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was said to have slapped the woman during Saturday's show.
According to the reports A$AP Rocky was walking through a crowd of people and was waving away fans with his hands. However, he managed to open palm slap a woman square in the face causing her whiplash, which has now led to her pressing charges.
Things have not been going to great for A$AP Rocky of late. He recently had to respond to that Kendrick Lamar verse in the song Control but was fairly relaxed about the situation. While others decide to hit back with lyrics of their own, A$AP Rocky has decided to let it slide.
He explained, "I feel like everything's going to be blown out of proportion these days... of course it is. It's hip-hop. He did what he did and I think people who had a problem with it said something. People who didn't have a problem with it didn't."
We will let you know the outcome of his assault charges as soon as we hear them.
