New videos from ‘The Host’ have been releasing over the past few weeks, first of Max Irons as Jared Howe, and then of Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder. Now, a new featurette has released, but this time it features Saoirse Ronan in her dual role in the film, the role of Wanderer the alien.

In the featurette, Ronan talks about what drew her to the project, saying, “I was really excited about the idea of getting to play two characters in one film. It's the actor's dream, really, to do that."
She also says talks about the story, as scenes from the movie flash by – first of the world that the movie is set in, and then of both her characters as they get introduced in the movie. However, this featurette focuses more on Wanderer, the alien character or ‘soul’, who takes over Melanie Stryder’s body. As both Wanderer ‘Wanda’ and Melanie Stryder are played by Saoirse Ronan in ‘The Host’, she has the unique chance of playing two characters trapped in one body. While Saoirse explains that it’s an actor’s dream to do that kind of role, the featurette is accompanied by scenes showing how they made it possible in the movie, and a brief explanation by Stephenie Meyer on why they chose Saoirse Ronan for their lead.
