There are a lot of Australian stars in Hollywood these days and most of them are really making a name for themselves in the acting industry. One such Australian star, who has been living and working in the US, is actress Abbie Cornish but it seems that Abbie did not move to Los Angeles in search of acting work but was actually looking for love.
Cornish was chatting to the guys over at Porter magazine when she explained to them, "I never came [to LA] for work, I came for love. I'm a hopeless romantic. That's probably my weakest point."
While Abbie Cornish says that she is currently single, she has experienced a high-profile relationship while in Hollywood. Abbie met actor Ryan Phillippe on the set of the 2006 movie Stop-Loss and the two stars soon fell for one another. Unfortunately their relationship did not last and the couple split three years later. Since then, Cornish has not been involved in a high-profile relationship but admits that she is open to romance.
As for her acting career, Abbie Cornish has enjoyed a lot of success in Hollywood since moving to the US and next up for the beautiful star is the movie Solace, which boasts a very impressive cast including the likes of Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Angela Kerecz and Kenny Johnson, to name just a few. Solace is directed by Afonso Poyart, based on the screenplay that was developed by Sean Bailey, Ted Griffin and Peter Morgan with a revised screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Solace will open sometime later in the year.
