Starting in commercials and eventually making it big screen we all fell head over heels for Abigail Breslin. Abigail Breslin was the cutest thing ever to have tin foil on her head. She did one of her first roles opposite two Hollywood mega actors Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix in M. Night Shymalan's Signs. She played opposite Kate Hudson in Raising Helen. She was an amazing actress even at such a young age.
Then came her breakout role as Olive in the comedy Little Miss Sunshine. Olive was an average girl with the most extraordinary dream of being a beauty pageant winner. She was phenomenal as the plain Jane Olive. Nominated for an Oscar Abigail Breslin became a household name.
Hollywood came banging on her door with one role after another. There was none as big as Little Miss Sunshine, but Breslin held her own starring in the beautiful Christmas story the Ultimate Gift. She then appeared in Definitely Maybe and No Reservations. She had a brief stint on Broadway in The Miracle Worker where she portrayed Hellen Keller.
In 2008 she popped up in the "horror comedy" Zombieland. Then she did a few lesser known movies. And these were all great movies. Then she pops up in New Year's Eve and Rango. It almost seems like a pattern she does a big budget then several indie styles. Her last role she had starred opposite Halle Berry in the thriller The Call.
