It seems that Hasbro are looking to take a hold of the toy to movie market, as they look to make more of their biggest toy sellers into big screen successes. While the movie world currently seems to be full of remakes, sequels and superhero movies, Hasbro believe they can tap into a gap in the market.

Hasbro enjoyed relative success earlier this year with the release of the Battleship movie, which received mixed reviews. However, the Battleship movie managed to rack up over $300m gross, which is not to be sniffed at, so a better thought out concept for other Hasbro movies could well eclipse that.
Now Hasbro have confirmed that they are looking into the possibility of turning their Action Man toy into a big screen action hero, which in all honest has to be a lot easier than Battleship. Action Man is a velcro haired, scarred, soldier, so we can see some sort of war movie being made here.

Whether people buy into the concept that Hasbro manage to come up with for the movie remains to be seen but since this Action Man movie is still in the very early stages of development, we may not see it hit the big screen until around 2015, if at all.
