Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has become a household name around the world, but more so for the fact that he is a coach on The Voice, rather than his actual music career. Adam has now opened up about this, admitting that he feels like the coaches on the voice overshadow the contestants on the show.
Levine was a guest on Today, when he explained, "Because our profiles are higher obviously than people who are competing on the show, naturally we're going to overshadow it a little bit."
He added, "Has someone become a massive superstar yet? No. But people are always better off after they've had their experience on the show, so as far as I'm concerned it's a victory for anybody who gets to have this type of exposure. So it's a win-win I think."
The US version of The Voice has once again mixed up its coaching line-up, as both Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green return from their hiatus, to take back their seats from stand in coaches Shakira and Usher. The Voice US continues tonight on NBC at 9/8c.
