At age 24, Adele is already at the halfway point to an EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. She already has multiple Grammy awards, and she's just recently won the Oscar for her song 'Skyfall'. Despite her massive success, Adele manages to remain grounded and likeable, a feat that would be difficult for anyone else.
She was recently interviewed by Elle Magazine, and she opens up about the high point of her career being winning the Grammy award. She says, "Winning the Grammys! To be nominated for a Grammy would have been a highlight, but winning just blew my mind.”
She also talks about her upcoming third album, saying, "I’m writing the songs now, and then I’ll want to rehearse them for a while. As much as I love my first album, there are still things that I wish I had done differently. So I don’t want to rush anything. You’re only as good as your last record, so if I put out something that’s shit, nobody’s going to buy it. If it’s crap, people will be like, “Why was she ever such a big deal?” So I have to take my time. I mean, if it takes me three years, I imagine people will start getting a bit nervy… but I’ll do my best to avoid that.”
It's good to know that she plans to release it before the three year mark, but she has previously mentioned that her son is her priority right now. It's hard to imagine the album being complete and coming out within the next two years, so the likeliest possibility is that it will release right after that.
