With the Marvel movie world ever-expanding and new Marvel comic book characters being adapted for the big screen all the time, there are a number of favourites who have yet to make the big screen. One such character is Black Panther, who many would like to see as a Marvel movie and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has admitted that he would love to play the character.
Akinnuoye-Agbaje told MTV News, “Who do I want to play him? Myself, let’s be real. I would hope that playing Kurse would ingratiate me to becoming the Panther. You get in and have success in one, and you go and do the next one. [My campaign] is definitely not dropped. He’s one of my faves. I would love to play him.”
He added, “You have to keep at it, you have to keep your card in the hat and see what comes out but I have to say I’m thrilled, I’ve been able to play two characters in one movie and if [Marvel] likes this and it this does well, it just gives you a better chance.”
Unfortunately, it could be sometime before we get to see a Black Panther movie, as Marvel have a number of movies already lined up. The next new Marvel movie character to hit the big screen will be Ant-Man, which is set to be released on November 6, 2015.
