Jennifer Connelly's had a pretty amazing career until now, although she's taken quite a bit of time off to focus on her family and children. However, she's come back with a bang in 2014 with a large role in Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah' opposite Russell Crowe. However, it's also bad news for Jennifer's fans, because this means we probably won't see her again for another year or so.
Jennifer's very selective over her roles - as she's said in the past, she's quite picky over what takes her away from her family, as is her husband Paul Bettany. However, Jennifer's next movie is actually one that she shot with Paul, albeit with her acting and with Paul directing.
The film's called 'Shelter', and according to the synopsis: "Hannah and Tahir fall in love while homeless on the streets of New York. Shelter explores how they got there, and as we learn about their pasts we realize they need each other to build a future."
Jennifer plays the lead role of Hannah and Anthony Mackie plays the role of Tahir, and Bettany hasn't taken any supporting roles in the film, perhaps choosing to focus on the directing itself - unlike many other leading men turned directors in Hollywood.
The film's currently in post-production, and it doesn't yet have an official release date, although it's rumored to come out later this year. Considering that it's an independent film, it probably won't get a proper large-scale release unless it's touted as an awards contender.
'Shelter' also stars Amy Hargreaves, Rob Morgan, Alok Tewari, Scott Johnsen, Jordan Lage, and Andrew Polk.
