Actor Aidan Quinn flashes his riveting blue eyes and it’s all over, you’re a fan for life. If it wasn’t before, his is popularity was firmly established in the role of Alfred Ludlow, alongside Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt, father and brother to his character in the film Legends of the Fall (1994). Quinn shows remarkable versatility in whatever role he accepts, putting heart and soul into the part, and donning the persona with perfection. He has mastered the use of body language and tone inflection, delivered intentionally and sparingly, to bring credibility and life to his characters.

During the 1980s, his career got off the ground in the film Reckless (1984), followed by the character of Dez in Desperately Seeking Susan (1985). His role as Professor David Ash in Haunted (1985), leaves fans feeling a bit unsettled, yet nonetheless, moved by his performance in this chiller.
Quinn flawlessly portrayed the character of historical figure Harry Boland, in the film Michael Collins (1994), alongside Liam Neeson and Alan Rickman. This particular role allowed Aidan to show his intensity as a patriotic Irish citizen, fighting both physically and on a political level, for the country of Ireland. He comes across as intensely thoughtful, and politically savvy. His passion is displayed through violence, yet tempered with careful contemplation of the IRAs precarious situation with England. Truly this is a must see.
Most recently, Aidan is co-starring in the television series Elementary (2013), as Captain Thomas Gregson. The cases of Sherlock Holmes are the subject matter of this series, set in modern times. As Quinn has already set the bar high for himself, fans are expecting great things from him in this series.
