Aishwarya Rai might be expanding her acting appeal again outside of India if the rumours are correct. The beautiful actress who is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan has been staying in the background as the media attention has been focused on the trailer for his highly anticipated movie "Happy New Year" for which she has given her approval as to how it looks.
However, while she has seemingly been doing her best to stay out of the limelight it seems that her talent and beauty has attracted the attention of an Iranian film director, Qorban Mohammadpur who will be directing a movie called "Hello Bombay".
The goal of the film is to promote the culture of Iran to the world and the director's interest in Aishwarya Rai is such that he has already hired a costume designer to design dresses for the former Miss World.
She is one of the few Indian actresses who have acted in Hollywood projects as she has starred in "Bride & Prejudice" , the "Mistresses of Spices", "The Last Legion" and also appeared in "Pink Panther 2" which starred Steve Martin.
If she were to take on this project it would represent a further expansion of the Aishwarya Rai acting 'brand' and further cement her status as an international acting star.
To some Bollywood fans and insiders it seems as if Aishwayara Rai is very interested in the part as she and her father-in-law have made plans to meet with the producer and production manager of the film to discuss the film and negotiate the contract.
Aishwarya Rai is an actress in demand both inside and outside of India and if the negotiations work out will soon be a featured performer if not the lead actress in "Hello Bombay".
