WIth that in mind, elite surf star Alana Blanchard has opened up about being involved in surf magazines, admitting that, while she finds it a little uncomfortable, she also feels that women do not get as much face time as the men in the sport.
Blanchard explained, "It's like a love / hate relationship. You try not to think about it. I do this since I was 15, so it is already part of my life. Not much showed up in surf magazines as it is very male dominated. But I think now begin to realize: 'Oh, they also know how to surf' and it's true girls also surf well."
