Former Italy and Juventus talisman Allesandro Del Piero scored 4 goals as his Sydney FC beat last places Wellington Phoenix 7-1! It was a magical performances by the 38-year old which reminded us of his glory days at the Italian Champions.

He scored three goals in the space of just 18 minutes! It was the second fastest hat-trick ever in the Australian League. He also added a 4th in the 70th minute to complete one of the most memorable performances in recent times.
Del Piero has scored a total of 9 goals this season in the league, despite being injured on several occasions. Other scorers for Sydney in the match were: Griffiths (11th minute), Čulina (27th minute) and Glaize (84th minute).

This was the 2nd win in a row for Sydney FC, who are currently 6th on the table. This loss for Wellington Phoenix means they are on their worst losing streak of the season of 4 matches and are bottom of the table as it stands.
The win was overshadowed a by the injury of Brazillian striker and captain of the team Fred, who will be sideline for the next month as he picked up a quadriceps injury.
