Following the success of the 2012 movie Magic Mike, which is loosely based on the early life of Hollywood superstar Channing Tatum, it was no surprise when it was announced that a Magic Mike sequel was getting made. Channing is already working on the script for the Magic Mike sequel, which is being titled Magic Mike XXL, and most of the original cast have signed up to return.
However, there is one member of the original Magic Mike cast who has yet to sign on to reprise his role in Magic Mike XXL and that is actor Alex Pettyfer, who played the role of Adam in the movie. According to recent reports, it has been claimed that Alex is eager to make a return for the Magic Mike sequel, although Channing Tatum is not convinced about having him on board.
A supposed insider was chatting to America's OK! magazine, when they revealed, "Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence. It's going to take a lot of sucking up for Alex to get his part back."
It is claimed that, while the rest of the Magic Mike cast all got on really well on the set of the movie, Alex Pettyfer and Channing Tatum actually clashed quite a lot. It is said that Channing found Alex to be very cocky and difficult to work with, so has considered not writing the character in Magic Mike XXL, we will just have to wait and see.
Magic Mike XXL will open on July 3, 2015 in the US, before then hitting the big screen in the UK on August 7, 2015 in the UK.
