True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard has become one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood, thanks to his ever improving acting career. The Swedish actor has admitted that, while he loves his craft, he does find it difficult to let his hair down in Los Angeles and much prefers his home country, where he can relax more.
Skarsgard explained to OK! Magazine, "'I like to party, I like to drink and hang out, but I don't go to clubs very often in LA, but I do when I'm in Stockholm, I go out a lot. My life is better in Stockholm. I recommend it!' 'We have a saying in Sweden that means, 'Don't be too different. Don't be too good.' It's like, 'We wish you success but not too much success. Don't get carried away.'''
The fame and Hollywood lifestyle is nothing new to Alexander though, who has been brought up in a famous family and admits that he has not had the most normal of lives, ''There's nothing normal about any of this! Two of my brothers are actors as well and we are all very supportive of each other. They see that I'm happy and that makes me happy," he added.
Alexander Skarsgard can next be seen on the big screen, starring alongside Ellen Page, in the movie The East, which is set to be released on May 31. Meanwhile, you can catch Alexander reprising his role as Eric Northman in True Blood, when season six premieres on HBO on June 8.
