Hollywood actress Alexis Bledel has revealed how she hopes to be taken seriously as an actress and hopes to take on some more adult roles as her career progresses. Alexis is probably best known for playing Rory in Gilmore Girls, which ended back in 2007.
Alexis has since appeared in a number of rom com college movies but is hoping to break into some more serious films. She explained, “My agent did tell me that if I wanted to be a serious artist, I had to put that out there and take myself seriously. I really responded to that advice; I think he’s right.”
Alexis Bledel is currently preparing to film her next movie The Letters, which is a horror movie written and directed by Todd Fjelsted. The movie centres around a pregnant woman in 1978 whose husband begins to breakdown following the death of his twin brother. It is expected to be released late next year or early 2013.
