When a young and promising star plays the same role in a hit television series for a number of years, they can sometimes find it difficult to move on from there when the show comes to an end. These stars find that they have become typecast by the role and struggle to get any meaningful roles in the future.
However, this is not always the case and there are plenty of stars who have gone on to have very successful careers, following a long spell in a hit television series. One such star is the talented and beautiful actress Alexis Bledel, who played the role Rory Gilmore in the hit series Gilmore Girls, appearing in 154 episodes between 2000 and 2007.
Since Gilmore Girls came to an end, Alexis Bledel has continued to find plenty of interesting acting roles, appearing in a number of television shows and movies along the way. As well as having a guest appearance on ER and playing Beth Dawes in Mad Men, Alexis Bledel also plays the role of Stacey in Us and Them, the US version of the hit British show Gavin and Stacey.
Alexis Bledel has built up a very loyal fanbase over the years, becoming one of the fans favourites for the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, before the role eventually went to Dakota Johnson. There have also been plenty of rumours about a possible Gilmore Girls movie being made but, as of yet, nothing solid has been confirmed.
