Following the very moment that it was announced that a big screen adaptation of the hit novel Fifty Shades of Grey was being made, there were fans all over the world talking about the project. One of the biggest talking points about the Fifty Shades of Grey movie was which actors would be cast in the lead roles for the film and fans were quick to give their opinions.
Alexis Bledel was a fans favourite

There were a lot of names being linked to the role of Anastasia Steele for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie but one of the fans favourites for the role was former Gilmore Girls actress Alexis Bledel and there was even a fan made trailer featuring the star. Unfortunately, the role eventually went to Dakota Johnson, disappointing both Alexis Bledel and fans of Fifty Shades of Grey.

However, this has certainly not had a negative impact on the career of Alexis Bledel, as the actress has plenty of projects lined up for the coming year and beyond. As well as already appearing in the new television series US & Them, Alexis also has a couple of movie roles coming out soon.
Dakota Johnson landed the role

Alexis Bledel will be seen in the movie Jenny's Wedding, starring alongside Katherine Heigl, with the movie expected to open later in the year. Following that Alexis will appear in the film Parts Per Billion, which boasts an impressive cast including Rosario Dawson, Teresa Palmer, Josh Hartnett, Penn Badgley and Frank Langella.

It is clear to see that Alexis Bledel's acting career is still going strong, despite the minor setback of missing out on the huge role of Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey film. We are big fans of Alexis Bledel and cannot wait to see her landing some big roles in the future.
