Allison Williams is about to show her leading lady acting ability to the mainstream television audience as she has been chosen to play the highly desired part of Peter Pan in the musical staging of "Peter Pan Live!" by NBC.
She is known for her role as Marnie Michaels on the critically acclaimed comedy show "Girls" but it seems that her talents go far beyond that of just acting. It was recently revealed that in addition to acting on the show she has recorded several songs for the show.
Since the announcement was made on Wednesday August 13 by NBC that she will be playing the boy who refused to grow up she has been the subject of many interviews and made the disclosure that her desire to play Peter Pan is not a new one.
She revealed that she has wanted to play Peter Pan since she was three years old, a statement she actually provided support for with her uploading of a picture of herself to her social media Instagram page as a young child dressed up in ... yes you are correct, a Peter Pan outfit in which she looked adorable.
For the actress-comedian this role is a dream come true, performing live on television but she also showed her 'comedian personality' when she stated "What could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?"
The talented actress who has appeared on "The Mindy Project" and "The League" is taking on quite the challenge to star in a live production but fans and some social media entertainment observers are quite confident about her ability and think that she is going to surprise many with her live acting performance.
Allison Williams will be seen on NBC television on December 4 as "Peter Pan", an early Christmas present for her fans.
