Allison Williams, best known for her role on the HBO TV show 'Girls', is reportedly up for the part of the Invisible Woman in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.
Deadline reports that Williams, who actually just landed her first starring film role in Rosaline, is at the top of the list of contenders for the role of the Invisible Woman.
The film is rumored to begin filming in June for a rumored 2014 release date, so it's surprising that this is the first we're hearing about casting. For a reportedly high profile big-budget reboot, the main cast is usually locked down several months in advance. Perhaps Fox already has most of their cast and are keeping it under wraps, but that seems unlikely.
If Williams does land this role, it will definitely mark her as one to watch depending on how the film does. In addition to 'Girls', which continues to do well, Williams also has a recurring guest role in The Mindy Project. She has also landed her first feature lead in Rosaline, so she definitely seems to have the chops to pull off A-list Hollywood stardom. However, we'll have to wait to get an official confirmation about the casting for F4. In the original franchise, the role of Sue Storm/Invisible Woman was portrayed by Jessica Alba, whose performance was largely criticized.
