Every year we are given a whole bunch of pilots for new television series and, while some fail to get taken on for a full season and vanish never to be heard of again, there are those that go on to become a huge success. There are a few shows that have already been taken to full season, one of which is the show Togetherness.
A lot of you will be familiar with the work of the Duplass Brothers (Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass), who have brought us such big screen hits as Jeff, Who Lives at Home, The Puffy Chair and Cyrus. Well, these two talented men are now making the move into television with the upcoming series Togetherness.
Togetherness boasts a fairly impressive cast which includes the likes of Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey, Steve Zissis and Mark Duplass himself. The show will focus on the relationships that occur between two happy couples, who decide to move into a house together in Los Angeles. Togetherness will air on HBO, with an official premiere date still to be revealed.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of other new upcoming television shows which will premiere this year including The Leftovers from Lost creator Damon Lindelof, Silicon Valley from King of the Hill creator Mike Judge, and Looking from creator Michael Lannan. We look forward to seeing what all these new shows have to offer, when they air later in the year.
