Naima Mora is continuing to support the fashion industry by attending local events. This time, the audience of a fashion show called “Walk” got to see the America’s Next Top Model winner host the event. She also happily walked herself down the aisle during each of the show’s segments.
Since winning the 4th Cycle of America's Next Top Model, Naima Mora has attended many events. “Walk” is a smaller event with about 500 attendees. The small event was hosted inside the Michigan Science Center in Detroit. Despite the size not holding a candle to a Hollywood event, Naima Mora still made the time to not only show up and host, but take photos with each guest as well.
The exciting fashion show, which is designed to help local models and designers, highlighted several new designs. Categories included Children, Couture, Curvy, Urban, and Fashion Forward. Near the show’s end, Crystal Bailey and Daishawn Franklin, the event producers, took the stage with closing remarks.
As a native Detroit resident, Naima Mora is pleased to be helping her local community. The celebrity appearance definitely helped bring up the attendance numbers and give the event a boost in publicity. This in turn helps the local designers and models who aren’t exposed to that many fashion shows. The showcased talents will appreciate Naima Mora’s appearance for years to come.
