The Fighter actress Amy Adams has confirmed that she has signed up to star in a forthcoming scientology movie. The film is to be directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and as of yet is still untitled. The movie is based around the life of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
Amy is set to play the wife of Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s character called ‘The Master’ who creates his own religion. Other actors and actresses linked to the movie so far are Joaquin Pheonix, who is said to be playing one of the follows, Laura Dern and Lena Endre, who are currently in negotiations.
It has been reported that famous Hollywood Scientology follower, Tom Cruise has been trying to get the film stopped as he is worried that their secret practises will be exposed. Amy Adams has also been confirmed to play the part of Lois Lane in the reboot of Superman.
