Man of Steel is a movie that is still steeped in a lot of secrecy, as Zack Snyder doesn’t want to give too much away before it is released next year. Amy Adams plays Lois Lane in Man of Steel and Amy has given fans a little tease of what to expect from her character in the movie.
While talking to Deadline, Adams said, “I grew up with Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, so I didn't want to try and be that version. Zack [Snyder] said that he wanted to play for more realism. There's definitely still banter [with Superman]. She's tough, modern, and more contemporary. There's also a lot more action than I've seen in my career.”
Amy Adams steps into some very large shoes playing Lois Lane, as a number of stars have put in some impressive performances in the past. Margot Kidder, Teri Hatcher, Erica Durance and Kate Bosworth are just a few of the actresses to have played the Daily Planet reporter in the past.
As well as Amy Adams, as Lois Lane, Man of Steel also stars Henry Cavill, as Clark Kent aka Superman, Russell Crowe, as Jor-El and Michael Shannon, as General Zod. Man of Steel is set to be released on June 14, 2013 in both the US and the UK.
