There have been quite a few stars in Hollywood over the years who have been very unlucky not to win an Oscar at the Academy Awards but there are not many more unlucky that actress Amy Adams, who has been nominated for no less than five Oscars in her career. Unfortunately for Amy, she has missed out on winning on all five occasions.
However, there are many people who are tipping Amy Adams to finally land her first Oscar next year, winning the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her performance in the upcoming movie Big Eyes. Amy plays the lead role of Margaret Keane and we know how much the Oscars love a biopic these days.
If you are not too familiar with the movie, Big Eyes is the biopic of the life of the painter Margaret Keane and the drama focuses on the awakening of her talent, through to her hugely successful years in the 1950s, while also going on to address the legal issues that she had with her husband, who believed that he was due credit for her works in the 1960s.
As well as starring Amy Adams in the standout lead role, the Big Eyes cast also includes plenty of other talented stars including the likes of Krysten Ritter, Christoph Waltz, Jason Schwartzman, Terence Stamp, and Danny Huston, plus many more. Big Eyes is directed by Tim Burton, based on the screenplay that Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski developed, with the movie set to hit the big screen on December 25 in the US, right in time for awards season.
