Over the course of the past few years, a number of highly talented Serbian tennis players have started to break into the top ranks in the world. Novak Djokovic recently became world number one and has looked unbeatable for the best part of year.
So what is the secret to the recent success of Serbian tennis players? Well, Ana Ivanovic believes it is down to their emotions on court. Ana explained, “Well, I think Serbians actually have quite a combustible character, so it's very -- I don't know.”
She added, “Maybe that's good for tennis. Maybe that's something that drives us. But sometimes we can have fired up emotions out there.” Ana Ivanovic recently had to retire from the China Open at the quarter final stage after suffering from back pain.
