For many years the Ukrainian born actress, Ana Layevska, has captivated Latin American audiences with her acting and charm, and this year was not the exception.
For Miss Layevska 2013 was filled with many blessings. She signed a contract with Telemundo and became the protagonist for their prime-time soap opera—Dama y Obrero (Lady and Worker). This soap caused a great sensation amongst the Spanish speaking households in the United States. The finale was seen by over one million viewers on October 18, 2013. This soap was such a hit that broadcast television networks in Argentina, Panama, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Nicaragua and Venezuela have begun airing it in their prime-time slots. In November, Ana was nominated for best actress, alongside nine other actresses, in the People en Espanol awards, which took place in November.
Most recently, the Russian and Spanish speaking lady surprised the media when she officially announced her engagement to business man—Rodrigo Moreira. She hasn’t given too many details on her wedding plans, but she did state that it will take place next year in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
Nothing has yet been confirmed about her acting plans next year, but one thing it’s certain—a lot of love will surround the future Mrs. Moreira in 2014.
