Fox are currently in the process of working on a new sitcom, which has yet to be given an official title, although it appears that the cast for the new television show is coming together nicely. The untitled sitcom already has Andy Samberg in one of the leading roles, while Terry Crews has a recurring role in the show.
Now it has been reported that Andre Braugher (Last Resort) has signed up to play one of the other lead characters in the new comedy TV series. As well as Andre joining, Fox have also signed up Melissa Fumero (One Life to Live) to star as one of the recurring female characters.
The new Fox sitcom is going to centre around a bunch of Gotham detectives, with Andre Braugher playing Captain Holt, who is finally given the chance of running his own command, after thirty years on the job. Holt is determined to make a good job of things and will not let anything mess up his big chance, especially not Jake (Samberg).
The currently untitled Fox sitcom is being written by Mike Schur and Dan Goor, the guys who brought us Parks and Recreation and, with these two penning what is bound to be an impressive script and a nice cast lining up, this could well be a new hit sitcom for Fox.
