A lot of time in Hollywood, if an actor or actress plays the same character in a movie franchise or television series they can find that their career is often defined by these characters. Playing the same role on a number of different occasions might be good at the time but it can also sometimes hurt a stars career once that role comes to an end.
Actress Andrew Garfield has become a huge Hollywood star over the years and, due to is talent and success, it was no surprise when it was announced that he had been cast as the new Peter Parker aka Spider-Man for The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Now, whenever Andrew Garfield's name gets mentioned, people instantly talk about Spider-Man.
Fortunately for Andrew Garfield though, he is still relatively young, has some great movies among his credits already and already has some more films coming out over the coming years. Andrew will star alongside Laura Dern and Michael Shannon in the movie 99 Homes, as well as appearing in the film Silence, which begins filming in July and co-stars Liam Neeson and Ken Watanabe.
Andrew Garfield is a young and talented actor with a very promising future ahead of him. Yes, we will forever remember him as Spider-Man but he has all the attributes required for that to just be a side note of his career.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on April 18 in the UK before the hitting the big screen in the US on May 2.
