Director Ang Lee came in for some criticism for his 2003 movie adaptation of The Incredible Hulk but has insisted that the experience had a positive influence on his approach to new movie Life of Pi. Ang also spoke about what he feels was the problem with his Hulk movie.

Ang Lee's Hulk
Lee explained to Vulture, “My problem is that I took the whole thing too seriously. I should have had more fun with it, instead of all the psychodrama!” However, Ang does admit that, if it wasn’t for his experience with the Hulk movie, he would never have made Life of Pi.
He added, “I wouldn't have been able to do Life of Pi without [that experience]. But it's easier to create an animal, because there exists a good reference - so a tiger or a hyena is easier than a 2,000-pound rage monster. The hardest thing to do is the weight, not the skin, because there's no reference for something that size that is agile.”

Following the success of Joss Whedon’s interpretation of Hulk in The Avengers movie, there has been talk about the possibility of a new Hulk movie being made, starring Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Meanwhile, Ang Lee’s Life of Pi is set to be released on in the US November 21 and in the UK on December 20.
