There has been a lot of negativity surrounding Manchester United in recent weeks, following their poor performances so far in the Premier League, which have seen them land just one win from their first five games. However, among all the doom and gloom that people keep talking about, there are still some positives that Manchester United can take from the start of their season.
One of the biggest positives to come from the start of the season for Manchester United, has been the performances from their Summer signing Angel di Maria, who has been hugely impressive so far. There were a lot of people criticising Manchester United for spending so much money on Angel di Maria, who they felt lacked the quality, but he has silenced the critics with his performances so far this season.
One person who will no doubt be very impressed and excited by the performances of Angel di Maria, will be Manchester United legend Bobby Charlton, who loves that attacking style of play from a player. Bobby has expressed in the past that he likes players to have a go at defenders, rather than playing simple passes just to keep possession, and Angel di Maria loves to show what he can do.
Angel di Maria is not a player who will make a conservative pass just for the sake of keeping possession, but will instead always be looking for that creative option, looking to open up defences, whether with a killer pass or by taking the player on himself. While many people are criticising Manchester United at this early stage of the season, we expect them to turn things around and still believe a top four finish is possible.
