The National Enquirer has a new report alleging that Angelina Jolie absolutely hates Jennifer Lawrence because Lawrence stole the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ role from her.

A source reportedly tells the Enquirer, “Angelina desperately wanted the female lead in the movie ‘Silver Linings Playbook. It was a prime role with great dialogue, and Angelina campaigned hard for it. But once the director saw Jennifer’s audition, it was no contest. Jennifer blew her out of thewater, and Angie was enraged!”
After Lawrence won the role with a Skype audition with David O. Russell [the film’s director], Jolie was reportedly furious. The source adds, “Angie was beside herself. She screeched, ‘What’s she got that I don’t have?’ The simple answer is youth. Angie’s getting older and the big parts are going to rising young stars like Jennifer. Angie’s seething. It’s a juicy, award-winning part, and she thinks it should have been hers.”

Firstly, this is the National Enquirer, so it’s unlikely that a source close to Jolie actually spoke to the tabloid. Secondly, Jolie is reported to have dropped out of the role way before David O. Russell started auditioning other actors, and it was actually Anne Hathaway that was most recently attached to the project. Thirdly, Jolie already has an Oscar under her belt, and is considered one of the biggest stars in the world. It would seem beneath her to hold such petty grudges, and that too with such a young star. Lawrence has also admitted to being a huge fan of Jolie, telling Jimmy Kimmel last year that if Jolie and Brad Pitt were King and Queen of America, she would be happy to pay taxes to them.
