Angelina Jolie has been at the center of the news for the past week for her brave decision in coming forward with the news of her double mastectomy. Angelina mentioned in her article for the New York Times that one of the driving factors in her decision to go ahead with the procedure was her own mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and how she didn't live to see all of her grandchildren.
Now, there are reports being circulated around the web that Angelina is considering an unusual role: playing her mother. Brad Pitt's Plan B production company is reportedly making a biopic film based on Marcheline's Bertrand's life, and Angelina is reportedly taking the lead role of the film.
Considering that nothing has yet been confirmed, take this all as speculation for now. The film will reportedly focus on the life of Marcheline Bertrand, and follow her life as she devoted herself to humanitarian causes and then eventually died of cancer in 2007. Marcheline married Angelina's father, Jon Voight, at age 21 but they split up before their daughter turned 1, according to reports.
The biopic production is said to be starting next year, but neither Angelina nor Brad have confirmed this news themselves. The film was listed as being in development, but then again, plenty of Hollywood films stay 'in development' for many years without ever getting made. We will keep you updated on this project as we find out more.
