Hollywood actress Anna Kendrick really is one of the women of the moment, with a number of impressive performances in her recent movies, with plenty more interesting roles coming her way. Anna rose to stardom in the Twilight movie franchise and, although she did not play any of the lead characters in the movies, she has still gone on to enjoy a hugely successful career in Hollywood.
Anna Kendrick already has a number of movie projects lined up for the coming year or so but she is showing no signs of slowing down, as she signs on to star in yet another interesting project. It has been reported that Anna has agreed to star in the lead role of the upcoming animated movie Trolls, which is based on the toy trolls with the colorful hair.
According to the reports, Anna Kendrick will lend her voice to the character Poppy in Trolls, a movie which will focus on the story of how these trolls came to have such colorful hair. The character Poppy has been described as a "relentlessly upbeat Princess who is at the centre of this adventure pic". It is not the first time that Anna has lent her voice to a character on the big screen, as she voiced the character Courtney Babcock in the movie ParaNorman.
Trolls is currently believed to already be in production, with director Mike Mitchell leading the way on the project, which has been written by Erica Rivinoja, while Gina Shay is working as a producer on the film. As for when we can expect to see this animated movie on the big screen, Trolls is scheduled for release on October 21, 2016 in the UK and November 4, 2016 in the US. A long way to wait yet then.
