According to a recent poll that E! News conducted, Anna Kendrick and Jennifer Lawrence tied as readers’ top pick for the actress they’d most like to see in Star Wars: Episode 7 as Princess Leia [provided that they re-cast the characters, of course].

When told of the news, Kendrick replied, “This is going to be one of those things that gets me into trouble. So I am just going to say that it's really sweet. That's all I'm going to say because no matter what I say I'll get into trouble."
Lawrence didn’t comment on the poll, but she did talk about returning to the X-Men universe as shape-shifter Mystique, and when asked about donning the blue paint once again, she said with sarcasm, "I can't wait.” She added, “"We're trying to figure out some ways to avoid the future skin irritations.”

Lawrence is currently shooting ‘Catching Fire’ in Hawaii, and will be filming ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ after wrapping up awards season in February [where many are tipping her to be nominated and possibly win for her turn in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’]. Kendrick, on the other hand, is not currently filming anything, which leaves her schedule wide open for a possible Star Wars role.
