Rumors have been running rampant over the cast members from the original X-Men franchise returning to ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. While the main cast members from ‘First Class’ have been confirmed to return for the sequel [Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender], only Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen were confirmed from the original cast to appear in ‘Days of Future Past’.

Ellen Page played Kitty Pryde in 'X-Men: Last Stand'
Both old and new X-Men actors have expressed their interest in returning to the franchise, but it has now been confirmed that Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, and Shawn Ashmore will all return to the Bryan Singer-directed ‘Days of Future Past’.
Bryan Singer recently took to his twitter to announce, “Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast - thank you, @BrettRatner for letting them live!"

Anna Paquin played Rogue in the original X-Men trilogy
This is great news for X-Men fans, who were looking forward to all of their favorite cast member reuniting for one more movie. While the focus will ostensibly remain on James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in ‘Days of Future Past’, it’s good to know that Singer isn’t doing away with the old trilogy completely. 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' set to come out in 2014, and is scheduled to begin shooting within the next few months.
