Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer met on the set of True Blood – another vampire story where the screen lovers fell in love in real life. However, questions have always plagued Paquin from reporters asking her how she could be ‘bisexual’ and yet be married to a man. She talks about this perception as part of her interview with Red Magazine [in her November cover issue].
She says, “I am a happily married woman and I married a man. I don’t think that negates that aspect of my life, but obviously I wouldn’t be with my husband if I didn’t want to be married to a man.”
She adds that this is difficult for some people to understand, but it’s not her problem to explain it to them. “Some people find it odd that you can identify with a sexual orientation that is not straight and yet be married to someone of the opposite sex. They’re like, ‘Obviously it’s not real if you’re married to a dude’. That’s not my problem. I’m like, ‘Okay, if that’s how you feel, there’s nothing I can do about it’. I’m just living my life.”
Her philosophy seems to be live and let live, which is always the best kind to have. Stephen Moyer has also recently spoken up about finding Fifty Shades of Grey 'sexually exciting'; will we be seeing an Anna Paquin/Stephen Moyer adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey? At this point, almost every actor in Hollywood has been rumored for the lead role, so it doesn't seem like much of a stretch.
