While we all get to enjoy the career of such Hollywood stars as the beautiful Anne Hathaway, we do not get to know too much about the personal life of such a huge movie star, unless they feel the need to open up about it. Well, Anne has been doing just that, talking about her marriage to Adam Shulman and what a positive impact it has been having on her life.
Hathaway was chatting to the April edition of Elle magazine, when she told them, "He changed my ability to be in the world comfortably. I think the accepted narrative now is that we, as women, don't need anybody. But I need my husband. His unique and specific love has changed me."
As well as talking about how marriage has been having such a positive impact on her life, Anne Hathaway also went on to talk about parenthood, as she has an 11 month on son with her husband. The biggest talking point for Anne, was the fact that they do not get paid parental leave in the US.
Hathaway added, "I can't believe we don't already have it. When [my son] Johnny was a week old and I was holding him and I was in the ninth level of ecstasy, I just all of a sudden thought, 'Mommy guilt is invented nonsense.' We're encouraged to judge each other, but we should be turning our focus to the people and institutions who should be supporting us and currently aren't."
Sounds to us like family life has been going great for Anne Hathaway, and long may it continue.
