Having moved on with new love and now fiancé Adam Shulman, Anne Hathaway no doubt presumed her past had been laid to rest.
However, ex-boyfriend and convicted fraudster Raffaello Follieri has opened up his personal photograph album following his release from prison.

The Italian businessman insisted: 'I'm no angel, but I am not the devil,' and says he only wishes his former love the 'best of luck'.
In 2008, Anne was left devastated when the love of her life was sentenced to four years behind bars for fraud and money laundering.

Speaking from The Federal Correctional Institution in Loretto, Pennsylvania, in April - prior to his release in May - Raffaello, said: 'You cannot think about your life before prison. If you think about how nice your life was before, you will go insane.'
And indeed, life was quite something before his spell behind bars. The businessman’s address was the luxurious Olympic Tower near Central Park, New York, for which he paid a staggering $37,000 a month.
Raffaello travelled the world with his movie star girlfriend on chartered jets and yachts, staying in the Dorchester hotel in London, the Ritz in Paris, and the Excelsior in Rome.

He once spent $107,000 for a private jet to whisk him and Anne to a lavish New Year’s party at Oscar de la Renta’s house in the Dominican Republic, where guests included Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Raffaello added: 'Anne and I had a relationship like anyone else, we had good times, we had bad times. We had a fight, and then we laughed a lot. We were very much in love.'
But in June of 2008, their world came crashing down. Raffaello’s business, The Follieri Group, was investigated on charges including five counts of money laundering, six counts of wire fraud, and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Follieri was arrested, wearing only his boxer shorts, by FBI agents at his Trump Tower apartment in Manhattan, while agents seized Anne's diaries, looking for evidence.
'I was devastated,' Follieri confessed. 'I knew as soon as I was arrested that our relationship was over because this situation was not comfortable for her. That was it.'
Raffaello and Anne had met through mutual friends and their relationship began in the spring of 2004.
'She was not a big actress when we got together, and I was not a big businessman. We were young, and we enjoyed each other’s company. We were talking about marriage.'

Now that he is a free man, Raffaello claims he only feels positively for Anne.
'I wish her the best of luck, she is engaged to a new guy now, that is great. I don’t have any bad feelings for Annie and I hope she is happy. I do, however, have some resentment for the people who put me in this situation. People who did not show me loyalty.'
