The Dark Knight Rises actress Anne Hathaway was recently snapped getting out of a car at the New York Les Misérables premiere and unfortunately flashed her private parts at the photographers. Anne has now revealed her upset at the incident and claims that it shows what it wrong with the world.
Hathaway told The Daily News, “I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn't realise it until I saw all the photographers' flashes. It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them.”
She added on the Today show, “It kind of made me sad on two accounts. One, that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it.”
Anne continued, “And I'm sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to Les Mis: That's what my character is, she is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there's no social safety net.”
Anne Hathaway stars alongside Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried and Russell Crowe in Les Misérables, which is set to be released in the US on December 25 and then in the UK on January 11, 2013.
