Anne Hathaway has won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in 'Les Miserables'. She was considered a sure bet going into the night, and was given the best odds to win. Her closest competitor was Sally Fied [Lincoln], but even then it was considered to be a long shot.

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in 'The Dark Knight Rises'
Anne previously won the Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actor Guild Awards, the BAFTA Awards, and the Critics Choice Award for 'Les Miserables'.
She's had a landmark 2012, with major roles in blockbusters such as 'Dark Knight Rises' and 'Les Miserables'. She's also gotten married within the same year, and now has an Oscar to go along with her other awards.

'Les Miserables' has 8 Oscar nominations
This is not the first time Hathaway has been nominated; she previously got nominated for Best Actress for her performance in 'Rachel Getting Married'. It's almost hard to believe that Hathaway got her start with Disney's 'The Princess Diaries', and she's definitely come a long way since then. Her upcoming roles include a leading role in Steven Spielberg's upcoming 'Robopocalypse', as well as a rumored role in the Broadway revival of 'My Fair Lady'.
