The heavyweight boxing scene has become more exciting than it has been for quite some time, thanks to the rise of a number of new boxing superstars, along with the fact that we are going to have three different belt holders. While there are a number of names being talked about in heavyweight boxing, there are two in particular who seem to get a lot more attention than most.

Deontay Wilder has become the great American hope, managing to land himself the WBC heavyweight world title, putting himself in the mix as one of the best heavyweights on the planet. With that said, there are still people who feel that Deontay has not really been tested and that the "Bronze Bomber" has a weak chin that will see him come unstuck, once he eventually fights a genuine heavyweight contender.
Meanwhile, in the UK, they are enjoying the rise of the very talented and exciting Anthony Joshua, who has knocked out all comers since winning gold at the 2012 Olympics. Again though, Anthony has yet to really get tested, with his biggest opponent to date being fellow Brit Dillian Whyte. Joshua definitely still has some work to do before he is ready for a title shot, but there is no denying the potential is there.

What most boxing fans would love to see, is both Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua continuing to win their fights, eventually setting up a huge showdown between the two of them. There are plenty more promising stars in the heavyweight division, including Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker, and Charles Martin, to name just a few. It is an exciting time for heavyweight boxing and we look forward to some exciting fights in the near future.
