Anthony Mackie makes Lethal Weapon 5 proposal
The Adjustment Bureau actor Anthony Mackie has claimed that he would love to get involved with a Lethal Weapon 5 movie, even claiming that they could reboot the franchise or make it a prequel. Anthony stated that he believes he would play a great Roger Murtaugh and even suggested that Chris Evans would be perfect as Martin Riggs.
Mackie explained, "I love heist films. If I could, I would do Lethal Weapon 5, I would do it in a heartbeat. I love those psychological thrillers. I'm going to be the young Danny Glover." Anthony then added that he would love for Chris Evans to play the character Martin Riggs, made famous by Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon films.
He added, "When I think of a young hothead who's full of hot air I think of Chris Evans. Isn't he a guy you just want to smack around?" Anthony Mackie can next be seen on the big screen, when he stars alongside Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks in the movie Man on Ledge, which is released in the US on January 27, 2012 and in the UK on February 3, 2012.
