The tabloid machine can never let two celebrities work together without making a spectacle out of their relationship, and we can add Alexander Ludwig and Nina Dobrev to the list of rumored celebrity hookups. According to recent rumors, Alexander and Nina have struck up a romance on the set of their new movie, 'The Final Girls'.
The duo started work on the comedy horror project a few months ago, and Nina's been steadily uploading a stream of Instagram and other social media images. The film also stars Taissa Farmiga, Alia Shawkat, Malin Akerman, and Chloe Bridges. The movie's definitely out of both Nina's and Alexander's wheel houses, with both of them being known for more straightforward genre fare. Alexander is perhaps best known as Cato in The Hunger Games, with Nina gaining fame and worldwide attention with her lead role in The Vampire Diaries.
Plus, the two may have bonded over their indirect connections to the young adult franchise, what with Nina's rumored hookup with Liam Hemsworth last year. Whatever the status of their actual relationship, tabloids insist on linking Nina and Alexander, even though there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that they're dating. They uploaded a few selfies, but if that was a basis for establishing relationships, most people would be in monogamous ones.
Nina's previously dated Ian Somerhalder, and she's been linked from Dominic Howard to her other Vampire Diaries co-star, Michael Trevino. Alexander, on the other hand, is supposedly dating a woman named Nicole Pedra, who he's been dating since 2012. If that's the case, then how are the tabloids able to look past the glaring flaw in their reports, and claim that Alexander and Nina are dating?
