There have been hundreds of boybands trying to make a name for themselves over the years, with varied levels of success. While some have gone on to become global superstars, there are those that have struggled to even get a song in the UK top 40. Then there is One Direction.
Take That have been around for years
Over the years, the UK has produced some fantastic boybands, such as Take That, Boyzone and Blue, to name just a few. Meanwhile, the US has also given us plenty of talent, with *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block. But are One Direction the greatest of them all?
There are obviously millions of teenage girls around the world, who will tell you that One Direction are not only the greatest boyband ever, but are the greatest act of all time. Then there are those who simply cannot stand the boyband, insisting that their music is ruining the world.
The Wanted are also rivals of One Direction
It is fair to say that One Direction are the biggest boyband on the planet right now, with the likes of The Wanted, Union J and Lawson trying to challenge them, but, as for the being the greatest boyband ever, that seems a stretch too far for us.
