When you are a big star in the entertainment industry you find yourself being interviewed by many different people on many different occasions, so you really do have to be careful what you say in these interviews, as there are often things that get twisted. That is exactly what has happened to singer Ariana Grande, who was talking about her new song Break Your Heart Right Back.
Ariana was chatting to Attitude magazine when she told them that her new song was about an ex-boyfriend who cheats on her with another man, adding, "It's really funny because I believe it has happened to me. I'm not 100 per cent positive, but I'm 99.9 per cent positive."
This sent the internet into overdrive and it did not take long for speculation to mount as to which of her ex-boyfriends Ariana Grande was talking about. As most of you will be well aware, Ariana had a relationship with The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes but she has insisted that she was not talking about him or any ex in particular.
Grande took to her official Twitter account to tell her fans and followers, "People loooove (sic) twisting my words Lol (laugh out loud). I never said 'my ex'. so don't trip (overreact). It was a looooong (sic) time ago... and it made for a great song," she said, before then adding, "Just thought I'd clear that up before any unnecessary drama takes place haha."
Ariana Grande is now single but there have been a number of different rumours going round that claim she is dating Big Sean.
